The cooling process is followed instantly after the adhesive tape has been dried. Either water or cold air can be applied to cool the adhesive tape. When cooling with water, a retained water film which will affect the cooling effect is easily formed inside the cooling roller. It is formed under the effect of the centrifugal force produced by the rotating roller. To get rid of this film, the regular mandatory cleanup method is usually adopted.

To obtain the optimal cooling effect, the most effective way is the decompression method. It allows the cool water inside the roller to evaporate for cooling the adhesive tape.
